Spa Policies

In order to make everyone’s spa visit as tranquil as possible, Renew Day Spa operates under the following policies. Please read them completely and ask us any questions you may have.

Cancellation Policy

We kindly request that any cancellations or rescheduling of appointments be made with at least 24 hours’ notice. This allows us to offer the appointment time to another guest. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a fee of up to 100% of the scheduled service. To make changes to your appointment, please contact us at 919-322-2178.

Arrival

For first-time guests, we ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your appointment to complete the necessary paperwork, ensuring our therapists can provide you with the highest level of care. Returning guests may arrive at your check-in time indicated in your confirmation email. Please note that late arrivals may result in a shortened treatment to avoid delays for other guests, though the full price of the service will still apply.

Children

In order to maintain a serene environment and ensure the safety and privacy of all our guests, we kindly request that children do not accompany you unless they are receiving services. The minimum age for services is 18 unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Group Bookings

For those wishing to enjoy a spa day with friends, we encourage you to call ahead so we can arrange your appointments together. Please note that a 22% gratuity will be added for groups of two or more, and 50% of the service total is required as a prepayment at the time of booking.

Series and Gift Certificates

All series packages are non-refundable and are to be used exclusively for the purchased treatment within six months of purchase. While we no longer offer gift cards for sale, prepaid services for scheduled appointments are available. Expired gift cards, if less than five years old, will be honored for services only (not for gratuities, products, or massages). For more information, please speak with our Spa Concierge.

Electronic Devices

To ensure a tranquil atmosphere for all, we ask that all phones and electronic devices be set to silent and securely stored in your locker. The Relaxation Lounge is a space for unwinding, so we kindly request that no electronic devices be used in this area. Should you need to make an important call, please do so in the lobby, or have callers reach out to our front desk at 919-322-2178, and we will notify you.

Spa Voice

To maintain our spa’s peaceful ambiance, we ask that you speak softly during your visit. The spa hallway is designated as a “quiet zone,” where conversations should be kept to a absolute minimum.

Valuables

We recommend not wearing jewelry to your appointment. Should you have any valuables with you, please secure them in the provided lockers. Disposable plastic bags are available for your convenience. While we offer ways to help keep your belongings safe, we are not responsible for lost or stolen items. If you discover you are missing something, please inquire about our lost and found.

Gratuity

Gratuities are a thoughtful way to show appreciation for exceptional service. In the salon and spa industry, a gratuity of 18% to 25% is customary, based on your level of satisfaction.

Facility Tours

To protect the privacy and relaxation of our guests, tours of the spa facility are not available to non-Spa guests.

Water

Drinking water is very important after treatment to rid your body of toxins. Your blood flow is powerful in transporting bacteria and toxins. Without water, toxins will either return where they came from or travel through the lymph nodes.

Symptom Warning

As with any modality of massage, those suffering from upper respiratory infections, colds, flu, or fever should recover before receiving treatments. Therapy most certainly increases blood flow and exacerbates symptoms.

Medical Disclosures

Please be sure to disclose pertinent information in your medical assessments, i.e. , foot fungus, open sores, uncontrolled high blood pressure, pregnancy, lymphedema, recent botox treatments, chemotherapy, heart surgery and/or if you are taking a blood thinning medication.

Major Medical Insurance

Various policies allow for out-of-network coverage. Check with your insurance company to see if you can be reimbursed for massage. At the time of treatment, you will receive a receipt, with pertinent information that can be submitted, by you, to your insurance. Once you find out that you can be reimbursed, all you will need is a prescription from your doctor or medical practitioner that gets submitted to your insurance for their files.
